Joe deals with a wide variety of constitutional, statutory and common-law issues as he represents clients in civil matters as well as in all types of criminal appeals. He assists clients with personal injury and insurance matters, as well as commercial litigation.
Joe practices in the Virginia and Federal appellate courts. He offers a complete range of services related to appeals, including trial monitoring, consultation concerning preservation of error, preparing and arguing post-trial motions, evaluating potential appeals and performing every aspect of the appellate process. This includes not only the notice of appeal, briefing and argument, but also making the transcript and other documents a part of the record, suspending enforcement of the judgment, preparation of the appeal bond, and dealing with a variety of other procedural problems by means of motions to the appellate court.
Joe also represents parties amicus curiae as well as in matters of mandamus, prohibition and habeas corpus.
